When Kalamazoo County residents need serious medical attention, they can choose between two health care systems that provide patient care in three area hospitals. The two major hospitals in Kalamazoo, Borgess Medical Center and Bronson Hospital have 24-hour emergency rooms and are served by West Michigan Air Care, a rapid transport helicopter service.
